1. Penukonda

Ghangari is another name for Penukonda. This place has many temples and around 365 of them are built in the name of Lord Hanuman. Penukonda is actually a fortress built by Vira Virupanna. It is about 70 kilometers from Anantapur and is very popular for its impressive sculptures and architectural brilliance.

This fortress is home to many temples. Two of the fortress' most popular attractions are Babayya Darga and the Gagan Mahal Palace. The first was built in 1575 AD and tells a lot about the lifestyle of King Krishna Devaraya.

2. Ravadurg Gooty Fort

The Ravadurg Gooty Fort was built in the 7th century. It is an ideal example of the amazing architecture of the past. In Andhra Pradesh, Gooty Fort is on the list of the oldest mountain forts. It was built at an altitude of approximately 300 m and houses approximately 15 forts, making it known as the "king of fortresses".

3. Thimmamma Marrimanu

5. Hemavathi

Hemavathi is important in history as an ancient place. In the 10th century it was the capital of the Pallava Kings. It is one of the oldest forts in Andhra Pradesh.
